Maverick Rowan Tabbed To Academic All-ACC Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. - A strong freshman season on and off the court has landed Maverick Rowan on the Academic All-ACC Team.Â
Rowan, who averages 12.7 points per game for the Wolfpack, was one of 26 players named academic all-league. He is one of 10 freshmen on the list and is one of just seven players averaging double figures in scoring.Â
The 6-7 wing has started 27 games this season for NC State and he's currently tied for fifth in the ACC wtih 2.31 made 3-pointers made per game. He has had several standout games, including a 22-point effort against Florida State and 20-point performances against both Wake Forest and Clemson. With 67 made 3-pointers, he is now second among all freshmen in NC State history.
To be eligible for Academic All-ACC status, a student-athlete must have earned a minimum of a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintain a 3.00 cumulative GPA for his career. In consideration for academic all-league, 60 percent is based on academic achievement and 40 percent on academic success.
