Addison Garners ACC Performer of the Week Honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. – In back-to-back weeks, Jonathan Addison has cleared the 26' mark in the long jump and was named ACC Men's Field Performer of the Week.
The Raleigh, N.C., native took on some of the nation's best competition at the Tyson Invitational this past weekend in Fayetteville, Ark., and posted a pair of top-five finishes to earn the award.
Addison opened the meet on Friday in the long jump, finishing third overall and second in the collegiate standings with a leap of 26'1.75". On Saturday, the senior finished 4th in the high jump with a mark of 6'9.00".
Addison's long jump mark did not beat his season high, but it would've ranked fourth in the nation if he did not already have a mark tied for the national lead.
Pack in the Polls:
Along with Addison's strong performance, NC State had a well-rounded weekend with strong results at the Tyson Invitational and Husky Classic. The results from the weekend fueled a jump in the polls for both teams.
