Taylor Earns Top-20 Finish At Lady Puerto Rico Classic

FINAL RESULTS
RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico - Rachael Taylor led earned a top-20 finish to lead the NC State women's golf team at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic. The senior, who shot during Saturday's first round, tied for 19th in the 88-player field.
Taylor (+7) shot a 4-over 76 in the final round and finished four shots out of the top 10. Sarah Bae (+12) also shot 76 on the final day and freshman Naomi Ko (+14) fired a 77. Freshmen Laura Kowohl (+13) and Leonie Bettel (+18) rounded out the Wolfpack lineup.
As a team, NC State placed 10th among the 16 teams. Louisville edged the Wolfpack by four shots for ninth place. Georgia won the team title by three shots over runner-up Arkansas. Maria Fassi of Arkansas shot a tournament-record 8-under to earn medalist honors.
NC State's next tournament is the Lady Gator Invitational, set for March 5-6 in Gainesville, Fla.
