Konig Named ACC Rookie of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Aislinn "Ace" Konig of the NC State women's basketball team has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Rookie of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

Konig averaged 20.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game in contests against NC Central and Tulane. The freshman from British Columbia scored 26 points on 10-14 shooting (6-9 from distance) in the win over NC Central and added 14 points (4-7 shooting from distance) in Saturday's game at Tulane. Throughout the week, Konig went an impressive 15-23 (.652) from the field, a figure which includes a remarkable 10-16 (.625) success rate from beyond the arc.

Through the first 12 games of her career, Konig has averaged 9.4 points per outing and is shooting 44-93 (.473) from the field and 25-63 (.397) from three-point range.
