Wolfpack defeated Lynn, 100-66, in first exhibition contest
The NC State men's basketball team plays its final exhibition game Monday night as it hosts Barton College at 7 p.m. in PNC Arena.
The Wolfpack won its first exhibition game, 100-66, over Lynn University. Freshman Dennis Smith, Jr., led all players with 22 points and six assists. Junior Abdul-Malik Abu had a double-double with 10 points and 15 rebounds. Maverick Rowan (17 points) and Shaun Kirk (13 points) also reached double figures for NC State.
Barton College has been picked to finish second in Conference Carolinas play this season. The Bulldogs are led by point guard Danny Shand, who averaged nearly 15 points per game last season and 5.4 assists per contest as he was named to the All-Conference team.
Overall, Barton College returns nine lettermen from last season's 20-11 squad.
