
Men’s Swimming And Diving Remains At Top Of National Poll

Wolfpack women remain at No. 6
RALEIGH- In result of an impressive weekend in the water at the GAC Invite in Greensboro, N.C., the NC State men's swimming and diving team remains at the top of the latest College Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) poll for the second-straight week, as released on Wednesday.
The Wolfpack women also remain at No. 6 in their respective poll, marking the third-straight week the program has been listed among the top 10 of the national rankings.
The men's squad earned a dominating win at the GAC Invite with 2,133 points among a field with two top 25 programs, while the women managed to pull out a team win with 1,938 points and took down four top 25 teams in the process.
Throughout the weekend the program racked up 92 'B' cuts and five 'A' cuts as well as 26 event wins in Greensboro.
NC State's men continue to lead the ACC in the national rankings, as five other programs are ranked in the latest poll (No. 3 Louisville, No. 14 Notre Dame, No. 15 Georgia Tech, No. 21 Virginia Tech and No. 22 Notre Dame). Virginia is receiving votes.
The women's squad is the second-highest ranked program among the conference in the national polls as Virginia sits at No. 5. No. 9 Louisville, No. 16 UNC-CH, No. 20 Duke, No. 23 Notre Dame and No. 25 Virginia Tech join the Cavaliers and the Wolfpack in the Nov. 23 listing.
NC State will return to action when select members of the team will travel to Atlanta, Ga., for the USA Swimming Winter National Championships Nov. 30 - Dec.3.
