RALEIGH, N.C. - After a 3-3 tie at the half, Miami scored 24 second half points and defeated the host Wolfpack, 27-13, in the Pack's final game of the season at Carter-Finley Stadium.
The Hurricanes scored TDs on back-to-back drives to start the third quarter. NC State responded with its own touchdown, but a Hurricanes field goal and late TD score gave Miami the road win.
WOLFPACK SPOTLIGHT DRIVE
14 plays, 70 yards in 6:16 - Dayes 3-rd TD rush
After Miami scored back-to-back TDs to open the second half, NC State responded with its own scoring drive at the end of the quarter. Starting at its own 30, NC State went 70 yards in 14 plays capped off with a Matthew Dayes 3-yard TD run. On the drive, Finley was 4-of-6 for 41 yards, while Dayes had four rushes for 20 yards.
On the drive, Dayes went over 1,000 yards for the season.

• 14 NC State seniors were recognized before the game for Senior Day, playing their final home game at Carter-Finley Stadium.

The Pack will close out the regular season with a trip to rival North Carolina next Friday. The game will kick at noon, and be televised nationally by ESPN.
