RALEIGH – Seeking a 3-0 start for the sixth straight season, the NC State women's basketball team returns to action at home Saturday evening against College of Charleston. Tip-off between the Wolfpack and Cougars is set for 6 p.m. from Kay Yow Court inside Reynolds Coliseum. ACC Network Extra will provide live coverage of the game.

-College of Charleston enters Saturday's game the owner of a 1-1 record. The Cougars lost 62-49 to Charlotte in their home opener before handily winning 95-64 at Winthrop. Â
-The Cougars are led in scoring by 19.0 points per game from Breanna Bolden. Tanisha Brown is the team's leading rebounder at 11.0 per contest.
-College of Charleston was selected to finish eighth in the Colonial Athletic Association preseason poll. The Cougars were 11-20 last season.
-The Cougars are coached by Candice M. Jackson. She is in her third season at the helm of the program after serving as an assistant coach at Duke from 2011-14.

Led by 23 points from senior Dominique Wilson on 8-11 shootÂing and a team success rate from three-point range which nearly equaled 50 percent (13-27), NC State improved to 2-0 by handily defeating Hampton 81-56 Wednesday evening on Kay Yow Court inside Reynolds Coliseum.

NC State held a 38-26 lead at the halftime break but blew the game wide open in the third quarter, connecting on seven three-pointers to take a commanding 65-38 advantage into the final 10 minutes of the contest.

Ashley Williams (13 points) and Jennifer Mathurin (10) joined Wilson in double figures Wednesday evening. Williams and Wilson both went 4-6 from distance while Mathurin chipped in six rebounds and four assists.

Wilson scored NC State's first 12 points in the win over Hampton and has connected on 12 of 15 (.800) field goal attempts through the first two games of the season.

Through two games this season, four NC State freshmen (including redshirt freshman Kaila Ealey) have played a total of 141 minutes. This is a significant step up from last season, when seven freshmen combined for 114 minutes through the first two games of the year.

Seniors Miah Spencer (99 games played for NC State) and Jennifer Mathurin (96) are very close to reaching the mark of 100 games played at NC State. Marissa Kastanek (2009-13) holds the program record of 133 career appearances. Dominique Wilson's next game will also be her 100th (67th at NC State).
