
Four Rushing Scores Leads Pack to 35-20 Road Win at Syracuse

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Behind four rushing touchdowns and limiting Syracuse to just 28 rushing yards, NC State won 35-20 at Syracuse on Saturday. RB Matthew Dayes tied a career best with three rushing scores, while QB Ryan Finley threw for a career-best 340 yards. The Wolfpack defense matched the effort, holding Syracuse to just 218 yards of total offense and 10 first downs.
The Wolfpack improves to 9-1 all-time against Syracuse, including a perfect 5-0 in games played in Syracuse.
WOLFPACK SPOTLIGHT DRIVE - 1st half
13 plays, 82 yards in 6:16 - Matthew Dayes 7-yd TD run
After a Jack Tocho interception gave the Pack the ball, NC State went 82 yards in 13 plays to tie the game 7-7 on the first play of the second quarter. RB Matthew Dayes scored the Pack's first TD of the game from seven yards out, his first rushing score since the Clemson game. On the drive, Dayes rushed seven times for 30 yards.
WOLFPACK SPOTLIGHT DRIVE - 2nd half
2 plays, 80 yards in 0:37 - Ryan Finley to Kelvin Harmon 68-yd TD pass
After the Orange went three-and-out on its first drive of the second half, the Wolfpack took their ensuing drive 80 yards in only two plays and forged to jump ahead 21-10. Jaylen Samuels started the drive with a 12 yard rush, then Ryan Finley found Kelvin Harmon on a quick slant, and after splitting a couple Orange defenders, Harmon went 68 yards for the score. The play was a career-long reception for Harmon.

NOTABLES
• WR Kelvin Harmon went over 100 yards receiving for the first time in his career. He became the fifth different Wolfpack player to go over 100 receiving yards in a game this season, a new school record for most individuals in a single-season.
• RB Matthew Dayes tied a career-high with three rushing TDs. With his three rushing scores, Dayes moves into fourth all-time at NC State with 31 rushing TDs in a career.
• Dayes also went over 100 yards rushing in a game for the seventh time this season. Those seven games are the most for 100 in a season at NC State since Joe McIntosh also had seven in 1981.
• QB Ryan Finley went over 300 yards passing for the third straight game. He has the most consecutive 300 games since Russell Wilson had five straight in 2010.

NC State will celebrate Senior Day next Saturday, as the Wolfpack hosts Miami in the home finale. Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m., and the game will be televised on the ACC Network.
