Women's Tennis Wins Five on Day One of Rebel Invitational

LAS VEGAS – The NC State women's tennis team kicked off the first day of the Rebel Invitational on Friday with a strong day of competition, winning all but one match. Martina Frantova and Anna Rogers earned the Wolfpack its first win of the day by taking down No. 29 Nicole Robinson and Andjela Djokovic of Purdue, 8-3. In singles, No. 29 Frantova, Rogers, Amanda Rebol and Bianca Moldovan each beat their respective opponents. The duo of Rebol and Moldovan came up short against UNLV's Paola Artiga and Anna Bogoslavets, falling 8-5.

Saturday Preview:
Play will resume Saturday morning at 10 a.m. with doubles and singles semifinals. Frantova and Rogers moved on to play the Texas A&M pair of Rutuja Bhosule and Stefania Hristov in the main draw semifinal while Moldovan and Rogers moved into the consolation semifinal to play Mary Wright and Ellie Zogg of SMU. In singles, all four Wolfpackers advanced into the main draw semifinals. Frantova will take on No. 45 Rutuja Bhosale of Texas A&M.
