Pack Wins Two Matches at Riviera/ ITA All-American Championships

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. - The NC State women's tennis team walked away with two doubles wins on Wednesday at the Riviera/ITA All-American. Both duos began play in the qualification rounds, but were moved to the consolation bracket after falling to their opponents on day one.Â
Martina Frantova and Tayla Stenta, the 24th ranked team in the nation, outplayed Alexandra Solovyev and Rima Asatrian (Columbia) to win the match, 8-4.Â
Likewise, Bianca Moldovan and Claudia Wiktorin (No. 50) won over Shannon Hudson and Ana Oparenvoic (No. 49) from Arkansas, 8-6.Â
With the conclusion of doubles action, the Wolfpack will now focus on singles, where No. 29 Martina Frantova will represent the team. Frantova is set to begin action in the main draw on Oct. 6th.
