RALEIGH – The NC State men's soccer team concludes play in the 2016 regular season with a trip to Atlantic Coast Conference foe Boston College. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. on Saturday evening at BC's Newton Campus Lacrosse & Soccer Field.

LAST MATCH
NC State saw its two-match shutout victory streak come to an end during the 2016 home finale Oct. 23, falling 3-0 to visiting No. 13/7 Louisville.

The Wolfpack held Louisville's high-powered offense scoreless in the first half and managed a 5-5 tie in total shots during the first 45 minutes. Louisville took advantage of its three best chances in the second half, scoring goals in the 52nd, 61st, and 90th minutes to earn the win.

ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT HONOR
Sophomore midfielder Julius Duchscherer earned 2016 CoSIDA Academic All-District honors on Oct. 27. The Hadamar, Germany, native leads the team this season with eight goals and has earned a career 4.00 GPA while studying Business Administration.

FAMOUS BACKHEEL
Duchscherer's first half goal in the win at No. 26/21 UNCW has earned significant online acclaim. The Wolfpack sophomore's goal was featured by Fox Soccer's "The Buzzer" segment and as of the time of this release, has generated in excess of 133,000 views.

THE 500 CLUB
With NC State's 3-0 win over Pittsburgh on Oct. 15, the Wolfpack claimed the 500th victory in program history and became just the 31st NCAA Division I program to reach this mark.

NC State has outshot its opponents by a 197-143 margin this season. The Wolfpack has recorded 85 shots on goal, while opponents have achieved 65. NC State has also earned 79 corners compared to just 57 for its opponents.

SERIES HISTORY
-Saturday's match marks the 14th meeting between NC State and Boston College. The Wolfpack trails 5-6-2 in the series.
-In the last meeting between the teams, NC State earned a 2-1 double overtime win in Raleigh over No. 16 Boston College on Sept. 11 of the 2015 season. Caleb Duvernay scored the match winner in the 109th minute of the contest.
-NC State has never won at Boston College in program history. In the last trip to play the Eagles, the Wolfpack earned a 0-0 draw on Oct. 10, 2014.
