Wolfpack Hosts Wake Forest in Sunday’s ACC Home Opener

RALEIGH – The NC State women's basketball team welcomes Wake Forest to Raleigh Sunday afternoon for its 2016 Atlantic Coast Conference home opener. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. from Broughton High School's Holliday Gymnasium.
GAMEDAY PROMOTIONS
Sunday's game will be Board Game Day. Wolfpack fans will have the opportunity to enjoy life-sized Connect Four and Tic-Tac-Toe games played on the court during intermissions.

NC State head coach Wes Moore is 52-28 in the midst of his third season at NC State. With the December 6 win over Charlotte, he ranks fourth among active ACC coaches for the fewest games required (75) to earn 50 wins at their current school. Only Jeff Walz (Louisville - 63 games), Joanne McCallie (Duke - 64), and Muffet McGraw (Notre Dame - 74) have achieved this feat quicker than Moore.

Spencer and Dominique Wilson are nearing impressive scoring milestones for the Wolfpack Women. Both junior guards, Spencer has scored 10+ points 47 times in her career while Wilson has achieved this feat on 46 occasions.
SOPHOMORE SUCCESS
Sophomore forward Chelsea Nelson has improved multiple facets of her game this season. The Tennessee native is averaging 2.1 more rebounds per game than her freshman season and has improved her FG percentage from .455 to .500.
