Fillard, Wild Tab Week One EAGL Honors

BALTIMORE- The No. 23 NC State gymnastics team picked up two of the three weekly honors distributed by the East Atlantic Gymnastics League, as Caitlyn Fillard was named EAGL Rookie of the Week and Nicole Wild tabbed EAGL Specialist of the Week honors, as released by the conference Tuesday.
Fillard made her collegiate debut as an all-arounder for the Wolfpack in its season opener at Penn State, placing fourth in the overall standings with a mark of 38.650. Her outing was highlighted by a tie for third place on beam with Chelsea Knight as both tabbed a mark of 9.825
Wild earned a career-high score of 9.900 on beam to win the event, and additionally tabbed a 9.800 on bars for a fifth-place finish.
The Pack is set to face top-ranked LSU Thursday in Las Vegas inside South Point Hotel and Casino. The meet is slated for a 10 p.m. ET start.
