
Pack Men’s Tennis Continues at Duke Invite

Horton, Norenius and Meparidze win singles matches on day two
Cary, N.C. – The NC State men's tennis team continued play at the Duke James Bonk Invite on Saturday, as three Wolfpackers picked up singles wins.
Results:
Nick Horton advanced to the finals of the white draw, knocking off Donte Saleh of Auburn, and second-seeded Eddie Covalschi of Notre Dame.
Horton eased past Saleh in straight sets, before grinding out a 6-1, 3-6, 7-5 win over Covalschi.
In the black draw, Simon Norenius advanced to the semifinals, dropping Robert Herrera of ETSU, 6-4,1-6, 7-6 (5). Anudeep Kodali of North Carolina defeated Norenius in a three-set thriller.
Shoti Meparidze bounced back to pick up his first win of the season in the consolation blue draw. Meparidze defeated Duke's Jason Lapidus, 6-0, 7-5.

NC State will prepare to face off against two Tarheels in Saturday's finals. Horton will take on Carolina's Brett Clark in the final. Clark is currently ranked 51st in the preseason ITA polls. In other action Norenius will play in the third-place match against Blaine Boyden. In consolation play, Meparidze will face Jaken Thoen of Radford.
