State Starters: Wide Receivers

RALEIGH, N.C. - With less then a week left until NC State's season opener versus Troy, the depth chart is beginning to take shape. For the next several days, we'll be releasing the depth chart position by position.

WIDE RECEIVERS

There's probably been more speculation about who will man the wide receiver spots when the Wolfpack takes the field next week against Troy than any other position. Under new position coach George McDonald, this unit has practiced like it has something to prove in 2015.

Three veteran juniors have risen to the top of the Pack: Johnathan Alston, Bra'Lon Cherry and Jumichael Ramos). Freshman Nyheim Hines is also slated to be one of the first wideouts in the game.

In the reserve roles is a Pack of young players, including true freshmen Vernon Grier and Freddie Simmons, redshirt freshmen Elliott Davis and Maurice Trowell and sophomores Ben Grazen and Gavin Locklear, who were recently awarded scholarships.
