Â
PASSES ALL AROUND
Junior guard Miah Spencer has dished out 40 assists this season (5.0 per game). In half of this season's games, she has recorded six or more. Should she keep up this pace, Spencer would end the season with the highest number of assists per game since Krissy Kuziemski dished out 5.3 per game in 1992-93.
Â
EFFICIENCY IS KEY
With a plus/minus rating of +9.62 points per game, Spencer is the most efficient player for NC State this season. When she is on the court, the Wolfpack has scored 421 points and allowed 344 (+77). Jennifer Mathurin (+8.62) and Dominique Wilson (+8.25) rank second and third. Among non-starters who have played at least 20 minutes this season, freshman Amber Richardson (+2.38) has the best rating.
Â
RACE TO 50
NC State head coach Wes Moore is 49-25 in the midst of his third season at NC State. If the Wolfpack wins Sunday's game against Charlotte, he will rank fourth among active ACC coaches for the fewest games required (75) to earn 50 wins at their current school. Only Jeff Walz (Louisville - 63 games), Joanne McCallie (Duke - 64), and Muffet McGraw (Notre Dame - 74) have achieved this feat quicker than Moore.
Â
STARTING HOT
NC State is outscoring opponents by 57 points (148-91) in the first quarter of games this season.
