
Security Enhancements Remain in Place for Home Finale vs. UNC-Chapel Hill

Fans strongly encouraged to arrive early; leave bags at home or in vehicles
RALEIGH, N.C. - Enhanced security measures remain in place for NC State's final home game of the 2015 football season this Saturday against UNC-Chapel Hill.
With Senior Day ceremonies set to begin at 3:24 p.m., and a national television audience for this rivalry game, fans are encouraged to leave adequate time to enter Carter-Finley Stadium.

While the Department of Homeland Security advises that there are currently no known threats against collegiate stadiums, the university will continue to take additional precautions at Carter-Finley Stadium for the safety of all fans, staff and student-athletes. Â
There will be an increased security and law enforcement presence inside and outside the stadium, in the parking lots and in areas surrounding the stadium complex. A number of additional security measures are being enact
ed, but not publicized.
The following security enhancements impacting fans remain in place:
•   All Carter-Finley Stadium gates will open 2 hours prior to kickoff (up from 90 minutes) to allow additional time for entry.
•   Fans are asked to arrive at stadium gates at least 30 minutes earlier than normal to accommodate increased security screening. Â
•   Fans should be prepared for enhanced checks of persons and belongings, including opening coats/outerwear and emptying pockets.
•   Fans are strongly encouraged not to bring a bag into Carter-Finley Stadium. If a bag is essential, a clear plastic bag is recommended. No bag can exceed 14" x 14" and backpacks remain prohibited, in accordance with existing stadium guidelines. All bags are subject to search.
Fans are reminded of that the following items remain prohibited at Carter-Finley Stadium:
•   Animals*
•   Artificial Noise Makers
•   Backpacks of all kinds*
•   Bags larger than 14" x 14"
•   Bicycles
•   Coolers
•   Drones/Unmanned aerial vehicles
•   Food or Drink of any kind*
•   Food or Drink containers (bottles, cans, thermos, etc.)
•   Ice Bags
•   Illegal Substances
•   Laser Pointers
•   Poles/Sticks for Flags or Signs
•   Selfie Sticks, Signs/Banners/Flags larger than 3' x 2'
•   Sitting/Standing in the aisles
•   Smoking (except in designated areas)
•   Strollers (large, non-collapsible; collapsible strollers permitted)
•   Throwing objects in stands or onto field
•   Umbrellas
•   Video Cameras and Go Pros (hand-held still cameras are permitted)
•   Weapons of any kind
* Exceptions will be made for those with medical requirements or special needs; fans should carry necessary documentation, credentials or identification; diaper bags permitted only if accompanied by an infant.
NC State appreciates the cooperation and understanding of all fans related to all security measures. The university works closely with federal, state and local law enforcement and athletics personnel to provide a safe environment for everyone who attends athletics events.
