Junior Lucas Kozeniesky breaks school record with aggregate score of 1179
JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – Junior Lucas Kozeniesky broke the NC State rifle record for total aggregate score with an 1179, as the Wolfpack fired a team score of 4635 Sunday afternoon in a match against No. 7 Memphis.

The Tigers charted a score of 4643 to edge the Pack and earn the Great America Rifle Conference (GARC) win.

"We had hoped to replace the 4636 fired at The Citadel with a higher score, which would have helped our ranking average a bit," said head coach Keith Miller. "We were a point shy of that goal, but did have several accomplishments of note.Â

"Our 2297 smallbore is the third highest score we've fired this year. Lucas' [Kozeniesky] 587 tied the school record that he set two weeks ago at Akron, and his aggregate total sets a program record, improving on his prior record by a point."

- Kozeniesky fired the Wolfpack's top mark in the air rifle and smallbore competition, with scores of 592 and 587, respectively. His aggregate total (air rifle + smallbore) of 1179 set the program record, breaking the previous mark he set of 1178.
- Sophomore Caitlyn Ford tallied a score of 577 in the smallbore event to set a career high. The Fairfax Station, Va., native recorded a 586 in air rifle to also register a career best in aggregate total with an 1163 clip.
