TALLAHASSEE, FLA. - With the Wolfpack holding a 17-7 lead in the second quarter, the host Seminoles made a switch at quarterback and scored the game's final 27 points enroute to a 34-17 win Saturday afternoon.
The Wolfpack scored 17 first quarter points to jump out to the lead. For FSU, QB Sean Maguire came off the bench midway through the second quarter to complete 18-of-28 passes for 231 yards, and lead five scoring drives (including one in each of his first four).
WOLFPACK SPOTLIGHT DRIVE
15 plays, 75-yard TD drive in first quarter
The Wolfpack answered Florida State's first touchdown with a score of their first touchdown in the first quarter. NC State went 75 yards in 15 plays over 5:56 and captured a 10-7 lead late in the first quarter.
On the drive, QB Jacoby Brissett was 7-of-9 for 55 yards, including a two-yard TD pass to Jaylen Samuals on 3rd & Goal. The 15-play drive ties as the longest for the Pack this season - game-opening TD drive at ODU.
