LAST GAME
NC State cruised to a 72-37 exhibition win over NCAA Division II Wingate on November 8. Fifteen of NC State's 16 players earned minutes, including all six true freshmen and redshirt freshman Sara Boric. The Wolfpack grabbed 62 rebounds and was led in scoring by redshirt junior Dominique Wilson's 18 points.
SIXTH GAME AT PNC ARENA
Friday's game will mark the sixth time that the NC State women's basketball team has competed at PNC Arena (formerly RBC Center). The Wolfpack used the facility for three Jimmy V Classics (2002, 2003, and 2004) and hosted two NCAA Tournament games in the building in 2007.
WOLFPACK QUICK FACTS
During the 2015 Postseason WNIT, NC State head coach Wes Moore (601-192) became one of the fastest head coaches in NCAA Division I history to earn 600 wins in 800 or fewer games (791). The 2015-16 season will be Moore's 27th as a head coach, during which he will be seeking his 26th winning season, his 23rd postseason appearance, and his 22nd season of 20+ wins.
NC State will debut a large class of six freshmen during the 2015-16 season. The incoming Wolfpack class was ranked No. 16 in the nation by ESPNW and features five McDonald's High School All-American nominees.
Junior guard Miah Spencer is on pace to become the 31st player in program history to score 1,000 career points for the Wolfpack. Currently sitting at 736 through two seasons, Spencer upped her freshman season scoring average of 8.3 points per game to 14.0 during her sophomore season.
Due to the ongoing $35 million Reynolds Coliseum renovation and Walk of Fame and History project, the Wolfpack will play two home games at PNC Arena and the remaining 14 at Broughton High School's Holliday Gymnasium. This will be the first time in program history when NC State has played a season away from Reynolds Coliseum.
The Wolfpack roster features 16 student-athletes this season, making it the largest team since the 2003-04 squad featured the same number of players.
NC State's 2015-16 schedule features 17 teams which qualified for the 2015 NCAA Tournament or Postseason WNIT.
The 11th annual Hoops 4 Hope game will be played at Broughton High School on Sunday, Feb. 14 against Syracuse. Tipoff between the Wolfpack and Orange is set for 2 p.m.
