No. 21 NC State men's soccer ventures to No. 12 Syracuse for a 7 PM kickoff Friday, streaming for subscribers on Cuse.com.
- The Wolfpack (8-3-3, 1-2-3 ACC) returned to its winning ways on Tuesday with a 2-1 victory against App State. The Pack remains undefeated this season at Dail Soccer Stadium (6-0-2). State enters Friday's match ranked 21st in the College Soccer News Top 30.
- Syracuse (9-4-1, 2-3-1) enters the weekend ranked as highly as 12th by Top Drawer Soccer. State's all-time series with the Orange is tied 1-1-1, with the Pack's win coming back in 1991. Last year, the Wolfpack avenged an ugly road loss at Syracuse in 2013 by earning a scoreless draw at Dail.Â
- NC State currently holds the No. 17 RPI in the country, Syracuse sits No. 11. All current projections have the Wolfpack inside the NCAA Tournament's Field of 48. In conference, the Pack remains tied for eighth with Louisville. The eighth seed will host the ninth seed on campus for the opening round of the ACC Tournament.Â
