RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State redshirt sophomore, and Georgia native, Chad Pyke will wrestle at the 50th NWCA All Star Classic on Sunday, November 1 as one of the event's 'Local Features'.
"I'm very excited about having the opportunity to wrestle in my home state again," said Pyke. "The All Star Classic is a great event that promotes the sport of wrestling, and it's an honor to be a part of it this year."
Pyke was the Pack's starter at 157 pounds last year. He finished with a record of 13-17, including 7-11 in duals, and brought home a 11-3 major decision over the No. 10 wrestler in the dual at Missouri. While competing for Woodward Academy, Pyke finished his high school career 329-19, establishing a new national record for most career wins and was the 2013 and 2012 Georgia state champion.
