No. 20 Wolfpack soccer travels to Duke, Friday at 7 PM on ESPN3.
- NC State (7-2-3, 1-1-3 ACC) last met Duke (5-6-2, 0-4-1) on the Blue Devils' home turf to finish the 2014 season. Entering the match a strong bubble contender for the NCAA Tournament, the Pack suffered a 3-2 loss in double overtime, three minutes shy of taking the Devils to penalty kicks. In 2015, the Pack returns to Koskinen Stadium with the No. 18 RPI in the nation, and hopes to solidify its tournament resume.
- The reigning ACC Co-Defensive Player of the Week Alex McCauley is expected in net, fresh off a six save performance against No. 4 Wake Forest last Friday. McCauley didn't need any saves on Tuesday night against No. 14 South Carolina. The Pack pulled off a stunning 2-1 comeback victory on three points from Zach Knudson and an equalizing goal from Ryan Peterson. Knudson's game-winner caught the attention of FOX's At the Buzzer, which posted the clip of his goal Thursday afternoon.
