RALEIGH- The #38 NC State women's team is set to compete at the 2018 ACC Championship held in Cary, North Carolina, at the Cary Tennis Park. The Championship will kick off Wednesday and run through Sunday, although the eighth-seed Wolfpack will begin play Thursday at 9 p.m. in the second round.Â
NC State will face No. 9 seed Clemson. The Pack met the Tigers most recently on Mar. 30 at the Halton-WagnerTennis Complex in Charlotte, narrowly falling 4-3.
From the Coach
"It's great to have the ACC Tournament back in Cary after a one-year hiatus," said head coach Simon Earnshaw. "We are really fortunate to have the event so close by and in a spot we are all very familiar with. Tomorrow's match with Clemson gives us a good opportunity to try and reverse one of the 4-3 matches that got away in the latter half of the season. Going into postseason play everyone has a lot at stake and I'm sure that will bring the best out of both teams. At this stage in the season there's really no secrets between the teams and I expect it to be an extremely competitive match from start to finish."
Season Rewind
NC State ended the regular season with a record of 16-13 overall and 7-7 in ACC play.
