RALEIGH, N.C. - A large contingent of NC State competitors, past and present, will head to the west coast this week to compete in the 2017 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The meet will be held in Sacramento, California from Thursday, June 22 – Sunday, June 25 and current and former Wolfpack stars will compete in the junior and senior divisions.

Here's a look at where the Wolfpack stars will compete (Note: all times converted to eastern).

Sprints
All of the Wolfpack competitors in the sprints enter the meet with top 10 qualifying marks.

Gabriele Cunningham, Soph. –  Junior 100m (Prelim, Friday, 4:15 p.m.; Finals, 7:25 p.m.); 200m (Saturday, Prelims, 6:42 p.m., Finals 8:42 p.m.)
Cunningham will compete in her second USATF championship with the Wolfpack in both the 100 and 200 meters. Her 100 qualifying time of 11.48 is the seventh-best while her 200 meter clocking of 23.54 ranks sixth. She posted both of those marks in the preliminaries at the ACC Championships.

Dylan Peebles, Fr. –  Junior 200m (200 m, Saturday, prelims 6:23 p.m., Finals 8:35 p.m.)
Peebles qualified for the meet with a 20.87 mark, the fifth best entering the competition. He posted that mark to win the silver medal and finish second to teammate Cravont Charleston at the 2017 ACC Outdoor Championships.

Cravont Charleston, Fr. –  Junior 100m (Prelim, Friday, 4:35 p.m.; Finals, 7:55 p.m.), 200m (200 m, Saturday, prelims 6:23 p.m., Finals 8:35 p.m.)
Recently named the 2017 ACC Outdoor Track Rookie of the Year, Charleston enters the USATF meet with the No. 4 qualifying marks in the 100m (10.35) and the 200m (20.76). He posted both of those en route to winning ACC titles in each event and was named the MVP of the 2017 ACC outdoor meet.

Alexis Perry – Senior 100mH (Friday, prelims, 7:50 p.m., Saturday, semis, 4:05 p.m., Finals, 5:54 p.m.)

Erika Kemp – Senior 5000m (Friday, 11:46 p.m.)
Kemp, who earned second-team All-American honors earlier this month in the 5000m, posts the No. 21 qualifying mark in the event, fifth among collegians. She posted her 15:41.23 mark at the Virginia Challenge during the outdoor season.

Megan Moye – Senior 1500m (Thursday, prelims, 11:05 p.m., Saturday, final, 5:12 p.m.)
Moye enters the USATF Championships with the 25th-best mark in the senior division of the 1500m, posting the seventh-best mark among collegiate competitors with a 4:12.42. She posted that time at the NCAA East Qualifying meet.

Tim Bason, Fr. –  Junior 3000mSC (Saturday, 8:20 p.m.)
Bason redshirted the 2017 outdoor season, but enters the USATF championships with the top qualifying mark in the junior steeplechase at 8:21.21. He posted that mark while competing in the 3000m at UNC in March.

Joe Bistritz, Fr. –  Junior 1500m (Thursday, prelims, 6:40 p.m.; Saturday, final, 8:11 p.m.)
Bistritz also redshirted the outdoor campaign, but his 3:50.37 mark at the Charlotte Invite early in the season is the fifth-best in the field entering the meet.

Tyson Fortenberry, Fr. –  Junior discus  (Saturday, 1:20 p.m.)
Another freshman, Tyson Fortenberry threw his No. 13 qualifying mark of 51.61 at the Raleigh Relays.

Wolfpack Alums – Seven former All-Americans will compete professionally in Sacramento:

Former Wolfpack star Alexis Perry will compete post-collegiately in the 100m hurdles. Her 13.07 is the No. 18 qualifying time. The former Wolfpack All-American has been a volunteer coach for the Wolfpack this year.

Former Wolfpack star, 10-time All-American Ryan Hill will run for team the Nike Bowerman Track Club in the 5000m. He enters that event with the third fastest time – 13:07.61.

Kris Kornegay-Gober, a former Wolfpack All-American in the high jump, will represent the Shore Athletic Club in that event. His 2.22m qualifying mark ranks 15th in the field.

Another former All-American, Graham Crawford, will represent Hoka New Jersey/New York Track Club in the 1500m. He comes in with a time of 3:56.05 for the full mile.Â

A cross country and track All-American during his Wolfpack career, Andrew Colley make his professional debut in the 10,000 meters for Reebok Zap Fitness.

Joanna Thompson will also run for Reebok Zap Fitness in the women's 10,000m. Her qualifying mark was a 33:53.65.

Kenyetta Iyevbele, who recently ran a personal best of 2:01.68, will compete for Hoka New Jersey/New York Track Club in the 800m.. Her mark ranks 17th in the field.
