
Charleston Named ACC Freshman of the Year for Outdoor Season

Wolfpack sprinter Cravont Charleston was named the ACC Freshman of the Year for the 2017 outdoor season, the league office announced this morning. Â The ACC's coaches selected the award winners.
Charleston won the 100 meters, the 200 meters and led off the winning 4x100 meter relay team for the Wolfpack while earning Men's Track MVP honors at last month's ACC Outdoor Championships. The freshman from Charlotte ran the second-fastest time in school history – a wind-aided 10.07.  That mark ranked 11th nationally in 2017. He added the ACC gold medal in the men's 200 meters with a personal best time of 20.76. Charleston also posted the ACC's fastest time in 100 meters during the regular season (10.24 at the Penn Relays).
