NC State ranked 26th on final ITA poll
ITA Rankings
TEMPE, Ariz.-The NC State women's tennis team earned its highest finish in program history, landing at No. 26 on the final ITA poll of the season, as announced Wednesday.

The ranking exceeds the 2011 Wolfpack squad that concluded the season ranked at No. 27.Â
NC State wrapped up a stellar 2016-17 campaign in the second round of the NCAA Tournament after falling to No. 6 Georgia. The team complied a 19-11 (7-7 ACC) ledger to mark the most total victories, the most ACC victories and the second best conference finish in history.
Â
While the team's season has finished, senior Martina Frantova and freshman Anna Rogers will open the NCAA Doubles Championship on Thursday as they take on Pepperdine's No. 8 Christine Maddox and Mayar Sherif Ahmed in the Round of 32. The Wolfpack duo is just the third in NC State history to qualify for the championship, and a trip to the Sweet 16 would distinguished Frantova and Rogers as the first team in program history to advance.Â
