CLEMMONS, S.C. – The NC State women's soccer team continued its unbeaten run this spring with 1-0 victories over both Clemson and South Carolina at BB&T Soccer Park on Saturday. The victories avenged fall-season losses to teams that finished as regular season champions of their respective conferences.
With the wins, NC State enters its final match of the spring with a 4-0-1 record. The Pack has only allowed one goal this spring and shutout its last four opponents.
"While it's nice to beat two top-20 programs who we lost close games to in the fall, we're more focused on the process and how we play than the results," head coach Tim Santoro said.
"We've gotten better every week in the spring and have two weeks of training and one game left to continue that trend. The girls are committed to improving themselves and the program."

The Wolfpack opened action at the Southern Showcase against ACC Regular Season Champion Clemson. NC State struck early as Paige Griffiths found the back of the net from about 25 yards out. The Pack preserved the shutout for the remainder of the match.
NC State 1 South Carolina 0
NC State closed out the Southern Showcase with another shutout, taking down SEC Regular Season Champion South Carolina. The Pack scored in the first half for the second-straight match as Ricarda Walkling placed a shot in the top right corner of the net from 16 yards out.
