
Pack’s Distance Runners Shine at Charlotte Invite

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The NC State distance runners continued their season at the Charlotte Invite Friday night. Members on the team won two events and earned 12 top-10 finishes.
800m:
Megan Moye opened her senior season with a victory in the 800m with a time of 2:08.52, edging out the runner up by 0.03.
In the men's race, Philip Hall added a fourth-place finish with a time of 1:51.91. The time moves Hall to ninth in school history.
1,500m:
The Wolfpack women placed six in the top-10 of the 1,500m. Erika Kemp led the way, winning the event in 4:18.38, marking the sixth-fastest 1,500m in school history The time also gives Kemp her second win of the year. She's currently undefeated this season after winning the 10,000m at the Raleigh Relays earlier this season.
Elly Henes and Ryen Frazier rounded out the Pack's podium sweep of the event. Henes took second with a time of 4:23.17 and Frazier finished third in 4:23.24. All three times are currently ranked top-six in the ACC.
Samantha George, Bethany Neeley and Megan Rempel rounded out the top 10 and all set season bests in the event. George took fifth in 4:28.50, Neeley finished seventh in 4:31.45 and Rempel took eighth in 4:32.47.
In the men's race, the Wolfpack added three top-10 finishes. Eli Moskowitz led the way with a third-place finish in 3:47.37. Ben Barrett took fourth in 3:50.56 and Patrick Sheehan finished ninth in 3:53.63.
Running unattached, Joe Bistritz finished fifth with a time of 3:50.37.
Steeplechase:
Aubrey Myjer made his NC State steeplechase debut and finished second, crossing the finish line in 9:05.03. The time currently ranks second in the ACC and 13th in the NCAA East Preliminary list.
