RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State baseball team will host the Miami Hurricanes this weekend in the Wolfpack's Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) home opener at Doak Field at Dail Park. Friday and Saturday's games are set for 6:30 p.m., while Sunday's first pitch is slated for noon.

All three games of the series will be broadcast live on the ACC Network Extra, as well as radio coverage on WKNC 88.1 FM and on GoPack.com for premium subscribers.

NC State heads into the series with a 10-8 overall record and a 1-2 mark in ACC action, while Miami is 8-9 and 2-1 in league play.

Last Time Out
In its most recent outing, the Wolfpack picked up a 7-3 home win against George Mason on Wednesday afternoon.

Miami earned a 7-2 victory at home against Maine in its last outing on Wednesday, as both are coming off a win heading into the weekend.

The Hurricanes lead the all-time series with the Wolfpack, 34-14.

Last Time Versus Miami
NC State and Miami last met in the 2016 ACC Championship, as the Canes earned an 8-7 come-from-behind win after the Wolfpack led 7-5 heading into the ninth inning.

Miami last visited Doak Field at Dail Park in 2014 when the Hurricanes won all three games to take the series.

Scouting Miami
The Miami Hurricanes had a tough start to the season, as the squad got off to 4-8 but has won four of its last five games to own an 8-9 record heading to Raleigh. Miami is just 1-4 in road games this season.

Offensively, the Hurricanes have struggled some at the plate with a .209 team batting average, headlined by Carl Chester with a .306 clip and a team-high 19 hits. Miami averages 4.29 runs per game and its opponents have scored 4.82 runs per contest.

Last weekend, the Canes' bats exploded for 37 hits and 32 runs scored in the ACC opener against Georgia Tech at home.

Miami pitchers have logged a 4.09 ERA to go along with 146 strikeouts as a staff.

Right fielder Brock Deatherage leads the group with three assists, while Brett Kinneman has also thrown out a runner at the plate.

Additionally, Tommy DeJuneas threw out a runner at second base against Western Carolina, after the runner made a wide turn around second and the throw came in behind the runner for the out.

Grand Slam for the Wolfpack
NC State batters have hit two grand slams this season, as Joe Dunand was responsible for the latest against George Mason Wednesday afternoon. Freshman Will Wilson also hit a grand slam in the series finale at Wake Forest, the first of his collegiate career.

NC State has scored 23 runs in the sixth inning this season, the most in any inning this year.

The Wolfpack is 7-1 when scoring the first run of a game this season.
