RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State track and field team will compete at the ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships Thursday through Saturday at the Loftus Sports Center in South Bend, Ind.

Last Time at the ACC Championships:
The NC State men are coming off a second-place finish at the ACC Outdoor Championships. The team posted its highest finish since 1996, scoring 93 points with contributions from the entire team. The Pack placed 13 on the All-ACC team. The sprinters had a breakout meet and scored in the 100 and 200, and won the ACC title in the 4x100.

The men finished fourth at the 2016 ACC Indoor Championships with 62 points, as the team earned eight All-ACC selections.

The women took seventh at the 2016 outdoor championships, as the team totaled 52 points and scored in every event group, while earning eight All-ACC selections.

During the last year's indoor championships, the women finished seventh with 42 points, totaling seven All-ACC selections.

National Implications:
This weekend is the final chance for athletes to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships. NC State currently has four athletes in qualifying position, and four athletes within 10 spots of the top 16. In addition to challenging for a team title, individuals will also compete for a chance to extend their indoor season. The NCAA Championships will be held in College Station, Texas from March 10th through 11th.

Record Watch:
NC State has broken three records this indoor season. Joshua Davis shattered the weight throw record twice this season and is up to 10th in the NCAA with a throw of 71'7.25". Shannon Patterson, who is ranked third in the ACC in the 200m dash, broke the school's 300m school record with a time of 34.11 and Paisley Simmons took down the 11 year old 200m record with a time of 23.78.

Sprints/Hurdles:
The NC State men's sprinters have three runners ranked in the top 10 of the 60m and 200m. Quashawn Cunningham leads the way as the top overall 200m seed with a time of 21.12 and is ranked fifth in the 60m with a time of 6.75.

Cravont Charleston leads the Pack in the 60m dash and is ranked third in the 60m dash with a mark of 6.66. Nyheim Hines enters the competition ranked eighth with a time of 6.78.

In the 200m dash, Shannon Patterson is ranked third with a time of 21.35 and Dylan Peebles is ranked 10th with a time of 21.64.

On the women's side, Paisley Simmons and Gabriele Cunningham led the Wolfpack sprinters. Simmons is sixth in the 200m with a time of 23.78 and 12th in the 60m with a time of 7.50. Cunningham is ranked 10th in the 60m with a time 6.47 and 13th in the 200m with a time of 24.33.

Joshua Gandy leads the men's hurdlers with a time of 8.26, and is ranked 15th in the ACC. Gabriele Cunningham will represent the women in the hurdles and enters with a mark of 8.58.

Distance:
NC State's distance squad enters the meet with eight top five marks between the mile, 3,000m and 5,000m. Megan Moye, Erika Kemp and Ryen Frazier all hold top-five times in the mile, while Tanis Baldwin will represent the men's team in the event. Moye, who took silver in last year's competition, enters with a current national top-16 time of 4:36.32.

Rachel Koon leads the Wolfpack women with the top 3,000m seed of 9:05.32, which is currently ranked third in the NCAA. Ryen Frazier is ranked sixth in the event with a mark of 9:17.60 and Elly Henes is ranked ninth with a time of 9:28.03.

On the men's side, Sam Parsons leads the group with a time of 7:58.42, good for the No. 4 seed. Sebastian Hanson is raked 11th in the event with a time of 8:08.37.

Kemp and Koon hold the top two spots in the 5,000m with times of 15:56.52 and 16:04.01, respectively. Frazier (sixth) and Alyssa Rudawsky (seventh) are also ranked.

Jumps:
Christopher Garrick leads the jumpers after clearing 7'0.50" in the high jump for the conference's fourth seed. In the women's event, Margaret Edwards checks in at No. 14 in the ACC after clearing 5'6.00".

Javonne Antoine and Amra Bell lead the women in the triple jump. Antoine is ranked fifth in the event with a mark of 41'3.00" and Bell is ranked 14th with a mark of 39'8.00".

Kimani "KC" Hoffman will compete in the long jump and triple jump and enters the meet ranked 11th in the triple jump with a mark of 48'11.50".

Throws:
Davis will represent the men's throwers, as the No. 2 overall seed in the ACC. Davis is currently ranked 10th in the country with a mark of 71'7.25". Last season, Davis won bronze in the event.

Lauren Evans leads the women with top-10 marks in the weight throw and shot put. Evans in ranked sixth in both with season highs of 61'10.25" in the weight throw and 49'9.25" in the shot put. Alyssa Dunn checks in at ninth in the ACC in the shot put with a mark of 47'4.25".

Multis:
Grant Rivers, the Pack's heptathlon school record holder Grant Rivers will line up in the event as the Pack's only multi. Rivers has completed the event once this season and is ranked sixth in conference with 4.923 points.
