NC State Earns NCAA Team of the Week Honors

Wolfpack defeated No. 2/2 Notre Dame and No. 6/7 Florida State

RALEIGH – Thanks to back-to-back wins over top-10 teams, the NC State women's basketball team (12-3, 2-0 ACC) was named the NCAA Team of the Week on Tuesday, Jan. 3.
NC State ended No. 2 Notre Dame's 35-game Atlantic Coast Conference winning streak on Dec. 29 with a 70-62 win inside Reynolds Coliseum and then followed that up with a 70-61 win at No. 6/7 Florida State on Jan. 2. These two victories put NC State in very elite company, as the Wolfpack is now the only team other than No. 1 UConn to defeat either Notre Dame or Florida State or both.
The win at Florida State on Jan. 2 marked the first time an NC State team has defeated two top-10 foes in a single week of action since the 1998 postseason run to the Final Four.
