No. 9 Rifle Takes Down Skyhawks in Non-Conference Match

Wolfpack fires team score of 4659
MURRAY, Ky. – The ninth-ranked NC State rifle team took down the University of Tennessee at Martin (Women's team) with a score of 4659 Saturday afternoon inside the Pat Spurgin Rifle Range. It was the Wolfpack's fourth-best total of the season.
NC State shooters teamed up to record a 2303 score in the smallbore competition and a 2356 in the air rifle event to give the Pack its aggregate total (4659) to earn the win and move to 8-5 overall. UT Martin charted a 4562 aggregate thanks to a 2273 in smallbore and a 2289 in air rifle.
The non-conference matchup was held in conjunction with the Withrow Open hosted by Murray State.
Smallbore Notes
- In the smallbore competition, senior Lucas Kozeniesky headlined the Pack's outing with a score of 586 after firing a perfect score on his second series in the prone position.
- Lauren Phillips tallied the next-best mark for NC State with a 579, while William Marciniak logged a 572.
- Zach Eisenberg and Caitlyn Ford rounded out the counting lineup with scores of 566 and 563, respectively.
- Additional competitos in smallbore for the Pack were Claire Zanti (572) and Claire Spina (557).
- The Wolfpack ended the event with a score of 2303 as a team.
Air Rifle Notes
- NC State registered a 2356 team score in the air rifle discipline following strong performances by Kozeniesky and Phillips.
- Both Wolfpack shooters tallied perfect scores on two series, Kozeniesky logged a 596 and Phillips notched a 593.
- Ford turned in a score of 584 and Zanti was a member of the counting lineup, recording a 583.
- Marciniak was the final member of the lineup with a 573. Eisenberg competed in exhibition tallying a 579 and Spina earned a 569.

- Kozeniesky matched his season high with an 1182 in aggregate and Phillips fired an 1176.
