RALEIGH, N.C. - The 10th-ranked NC State wrestling team opens up ACC competition this Wednesday night, as the Wolfpack (4-1) will host the Duke Blue Devils (2-2) in Reynolds Coliseum at 7 p.m. The Pack is off to a 4-1 mark in duals in 2016-17, its lone loss to No. 7 Nebraska, and NC State has won 27 of its last 29 duals dating back to last season.
Last season the Wolfpack finished 4-1 in ACC duals, before bringing home top honors at the ACC Championship.

The Blue Devils cruised past Hofstra 31-10 and LIU Post 38-6 to even their overall season record to 2-2. Six Blue Devils went undefeated on the day in the two duals in Brookville, N.Y.

Consensus top-10 recruit freshman John Reenan is looking for his first signature win as a member of the Pack, and will attempt to knock off Duke's 20th-ranked senior Connor Bass. Reenan has won his last three dual matches, and prior to the Midlands Championships, he had won eight straight matches overall. Bass will be his second ranked opponent this season. Bass was Duke's starter at 157 pounds last season, but jumped up two weight classes for his final season. Bass already has three wins over ranked foes this season, including a pair of top-10 victories.

With series records dating back to 1955, the Pack holds a commanding 49-13 series lead against the Blue Devils, including winning 38 of the last 42 duals dating back to 1975. However, the Blue Devils have won the last two meetings in Raleigh (22-9 in 2013 and 18-17 in 2015), and three of the last four on the Pack's home mat dating back to 2009.
