
Kornegay-Gober Finishes Ninth in Trials Finale

EUGENE, Ore. – Kris Kornegay-Gober finished tied for ninth in the high jump final Sunday afternoon to wrap up action at the USATF Olympic Trials.
Gober advanced to the final after clearing 7'0.25" in the qualifying round. He was one of five athletes that did not clear the opening height of 7'1" in the final round.
NC State had solid representation at the finals, as six former athletes with seven qualifying standards competed in a multitude of events. Two athletes advanced to the finals of their respective events, while two more advanced to the semifinals.
Overall, the Pack finished with six top-20 finishes, highlighted by Ryan Hill taking sixth in the men's 5,000m final.

Jonathan Addison and Alexis Perry will travel to El Salvador to represent Team USA at the NACAC's u23 Championships.
Additionally, the Pack's graduates will continue to compete in professional events, while its current squad will train for the 2016-17 season.
