
Holmes Named to U.S. Collegiate National Team Coaching Staff

Wolfpack assistant to serve as co-lead administrator
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – NC State volleyball assistant coach Nicki Holmes has been named to the U.S. Collegiate National Team staff for this summer, as co-lead administrator according to an announcement by USA Volleyball.

Entering his first season as an assistant coach with the Wolfpack volleyball program, Holmes began working with USA Volleyball in 2005 and has been with the Collegiate National Team (CNT) since 2012.

The CNT-Indianapolis program will have training and competition, June 21-30. After the program is divided into three 12-player rosters from the training portion, the competition phase involving a round-robin tournament of the three squads will take place June 26-29 under the same roof as the USA Volleyball Girls' Junior National Championships.

In his role as co-lead administrator, he will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the program and will also be charged with planning the event. Throughout his tenure with USA Volleyball, Holmes has served in numerous capacities.

He was a member of the lead tryout staff for the U.S. Women's National Team Open Tryout in February and has served in that position for the past five years, evaluating more than 250 participants.

Mike Hebert of USA Volleyball and Rod Wilde of Madison Elite VBC will serve as master coaches of the program. Co-head coaches are University of Central Florida Head Coach Todd Dagenais, University of Montana Head Coach Brian Doyon and former Fresno Pacific University head coach Dennis Janzen. Program assistant coaches are Minnesota Select's Kayla Cole, Lipscomb University Assistant Coach Billy Ebel and University of Texas' Elizabeth Quanaim. Technical coordinators for the program are Casey Fealko of University of Michigan and Holly Taylor of BYU.

West Hills College Head Coach Jeff Wanderer will serve as co-lead administrator alongside Holmes.
