
No. 41 NC State Heads to Miami, Florida State for Final Road Matches

RALEIGH, N.C. – The No. 41 NC State men's tennis team is heading to No. 75 Miami and No. 23 Florida State for its final road matches of the season. The Wolfpack (16-11, 4-5 ACC) faces Miami (7-11, 2-6 ACC) Friday at 2:30 p.m. and Florida State (14-7, 6-3 ACC) Sunday at 12 p.m. Both matches will give the Pack more opportunities to pick up wins over ranked opponents.

The Pack enters the match on form, winning three of its last four matches. It has moved up one spot in the team rankings and still holds three players in singles rankings.
No. 55 Simon Norenius leads the team with a 24-7 overall and 17-5 dual-season record. The senior is recently coming off a tough weekend where he fell to opponents from Duke and Louisville.
Nick Horton is ranked 93rd in the latest poll and is coming off a pair of wins this past weekend – including a match-clinching victory over Louisville. The junior is up to 20 wins this season and holds a 14-5 mark in dual play.
No. 119 Thomas Weigel rounds out the rankings for the Pack. The senior is having once of the best spring season's in school history. He is up to 20 wins this dual season, tying him for the 7th-most in school history for a single season. He has also moved into the top-10 lists in overall doubles wins– ranking sixth with 61 wins.

Piotr Lomacki, who has played at the top spot in the lineup all year. Christian Langmo is ranked No. 70 in the polls and is 7-1 on the season, but has not played a match since March 6. In doubles, the Canes are paced by No. 66 Max Andrews and Bernard Tefel.
Scouting Florida State:
Florida State will be the Pack's seventh top-25 opponent of the season. The Seminoles are led by No. 10 Benjamin Lock and No. 74 Marco Nunez. Lock and Nunez also hold the 19th spot in the doubles rankings. Earlier in the year, FSU upset No. 1 North Carolina and the team also has victories over Duke, Georgia Tech and Notre Dame.
ACC Standings:
The Pack is currently eighth in the ACC standings and on track to face nine-seed Clemson in the opening round of the ACC Championships. The winner of the first-round match will face the conference's top seed. Wake Forest and Virginia each have one loss in conference play this season and are on pace to decide the conference's regular-season champion on the final week of conference play.
