RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State track and field team will send nine athletes to the Penn Relays and two athletes to the Payton Jordan Invitational, as it begins to conclude its regular season.
The Pack is heating up in the final few weeks of the regular season, earning two school records, an Olympic Trials mark and several regional and conference qualifying marks in its last time out at the Virginia Challenge.
The Penn Relays and Payton Jordan Invitational will give the Pack another chance to compete against elite company and climb national, regional and ACC lists.

Returning to competition for the first time since the NCAA Cross Country Championships, Kaitlyn Kramer will represent the Pack in the 5,000m. Kramer will look to ease back into track action, as she chases postseason qualification. She earned the ACC standard in the 5,000m last outdoor season.

Crawford will continue to aim for fast times in the 1,500m, while Simon will make his highly anticipated debut in the 3,000m steeplechase. Simon qualified for the NCAA Championships in the event last season while at the University of Washington. Simon and Crawford both have opening their season with impressive 5,000m and 1,500m marks. Crawford is currently ranked top-10 nationally in both races.
