COPENHAGEN, Denmark- Distance freestyle specialist Anton Ipsen earned his first 2016 Olympic Games berth in the 400m freestyle Wednesday at the Danish Open in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The sophomore from Birkerod had to earn a top-two finish and better the Olympic 'A' standard in the event, as he won the finals session with a time of 3:48.39. His performance stands as the 13th-fastest time in the world in 2016.

His accomplishment marks the second Wolfpacker to qualify for the Olympic Games in 2016, as Simonas Bilis is slated represent Lithuania in the 50 and 100m free in Rio de Janeiro.

Ipsen also competed in the 1,500m freestyle on Saturday, as he finished second in the event with an Olympic 'A' standard time of 15:07.70.
