RALEIGH, N.C. – The 27th-ranked NC State men's tennis team will continue ACC play Sunday, as it welcomes No. 42 Georgia Tech to the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center for a 12 p.m. match.

The Pack (11-7, 1-1 ACC) and Georgia Tech (8-4, 1-1 ACC) are both coming off of wins over ranked teams from the opening week of conference play.

Captains Leading the Way:
Nick Horton, Simon Norenius and Thomas Weigel continue to lead the Pack at the top of the lineup. Weigel recently wrapped up a perfect 2-0 singles record this past weekend, earning a win over Amerigo Contini at Virginia Tech and winning the clinching point in the upset victory over Wake Forest. Weigel has a team-high 15 wins this season.

Distinguished Doubles:
In the upset over Wake Forest, Michael Ogden picked up another doubles victory. The redshirt-freshman has a team-high nine doubles wins this spring season.

Scouting GT:
Georgia Tech holds a 25-15 all-time advantage over the Pack, but has struggled against the Red and White recently. NC State has won five in a row against GT.

The Yellow Jackets are led in singles by Christopher Eubanks, who is ranked 15th in the latest ITA singles poll. Eubanks leads the team in singles wins and has played exclusively at the No. 1 singles spot this season.

GT's duo of Casey Kay and Michael Kay are ranked 65th in the nation and are 3-2 from No. 1 doubles spot this season. Eubanks and Carolos Benito play at No. 2 doubles and are a perfect 6-0 this spring. Andrew Li and Nathan Rakitt have also had a successful doubles season so far with a 6-1 dual-season record.

Like the Pack, The Yellow Jackets enter the weekend with momentum. Georgia Tech knocked off Duke, 4-3, in Durham, N.C. over the weekend. GT will make a visit to Louisville Friday before ending the weekend in Raleigh.

The NC State men's tennis team jumped up 13 spots to No. 27 in the latest ITA poll. The Wolfpack (11-7, 1-1 ACC) defeated No. 7 Wake Forest, 4-3 on Sunday to fuel the move in the polls.

In singles rankings, Horton moves to No. 58 and Norenius jumps up to No. 73. The top-two singles players both split their singles matches this weekend. Both fell to individuals from Virginia Tech, but rebounded nicely in straight-set wins over opponents from Wake Forest.

Horton defeated Jon Ho, 6-3, 6-2, while Norenius defeated No. 113 Romain Bogaerts, 6-4, 6-3. The win is Norenius' fifth victory over a ranked opponent this season. Horton is up to 11 wins this spring season and Norenius has 14 victories this spring.

NC State joins nine other ACC school currently in the rankings. The conference also boasts four schools in the top-10.
