
Addison, Kemp Capture Regional Athlete of the Year Honors

NEW ORLEANSÂ - Jonathan Addison won USTFCCCA's Indoor Men's Field Athlete of the Year for the second year in a row and Erika Kemp won Women's Track Athlete of the Year, as announced by the organization Friday afternoon.

Both Wolfpack athletes set school records and qualified for the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships on the path to the awards.

Addison has won the award for the second year in a row -- just a week after winning an individual ACC title in the long jump. The Raleigh, N.C., native earned an indoor school record in the long jump with a leap of 26'9.75" and enters the NCAA Championships with a tie for the No. 1 seed. He has cleared the 26' mark three times this season.

Kemp has national qualifying marks in the 3,000m and 5,000m – ranking sixth nationally in both events. Kemp opened the year with a school-record performance in the 5,000m, crossing the finish line in 15:45.46. She added a 3k national mark at Camel City with a time of 9:12.71. Just a week later, she defended the mark and improved her PR at the Husky Classic with a time of 9:06.07. She earned bronze in the 5k at the ACC Indoor Championships last week.
