From The Coach's Perspective
"We're really proud of the energy and effort the team put in today," said associate head coach Colleen Johnson. "We hit our goal of a 195 team score, which shows us what we're capable of, as this meet will put us in a great position heading into the last portion of the season."
"We came out of the gates a little shaky on beam. It wasn't our best performance on the event, but we managed to bounce back from that the rest of the way. We proceeded to put up the highest score of the year on floor, which gave the girls the momentum they needed to go into the last two rotations.
"Going into the last rotation we knew we were one-tenth of a point behind Nebraska, and that gave them an extra competitive edge to persevere through the meet and get a huge win for us."
