Schuster Named to TDS Freshman Best XI

RALEIGH, N.C. – After starting all 22 matches in her fist season with the NC State women's soccer team, Kristina Schuster has been named to TopDrawerSoccer's Freshman Best XI.
Schuster primarily played as the team's right back throughout the season. She provided a strong defensive option on the right flank and added to the attack with seven points from one goal and five assists.
In addition to being tabbed one of the best freshman players in the country, she was also selected to the NSCAA Southeast All-Region team. Earlier this season she was named to the TDS Team of the Week on Sep. 20th.
NC State concluded its breakout season ranked No. 23/24 in the national polls for its first end-of-season national ranking since 1995. The team also made a run to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Championships and concluded the year with a school record RPI of 34.
