RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State men's and women's cross country teams will run their final race of the season at the NCAA Division I Championships in Terre Haute, Indiana on Saturday. Both teams earned automatics berths to the championship after topping the competition at the Southeast Regional meet. The No. 2 nationally-ranked women will run a 6k course while the men's team, who jumped ten places in the final USTFCCCA poll to enter the competition as the No. 17 ranked team, will run a 10k course. Last year, the women's team finished in fifth place just outside of podium standing and the men's team finished 28th.
Last Time Out:
The Wolfpack swept the Southeast Regional in Charlottesville, Virginia, last Friday. Five from the women's team and four from the men's team finished among the top 25 to earn All-Regional honors. Erika Kemp led the ladies with a runner-up finish and Sam Parsons finished in fourth place as the men's teams top finisher. Coach Rollie Geiger and Coach Laurie Henes were awarded Regional Coaches of the Year after the victories.
On The Hunt:
After just missing a podium finish last year, the women are hungry for a top-four finish. The ladies have consistently finished well at meets throughout the season, and won both the ACC Championships and Regionals in a dominant fashion. The men's team has climbed the rankings this year after injury and sickness led to a difficult first part of the season. The team earned an 11th place finish at the Notre Dame Invitational and a 24th place finish at the Wisconsin Nuttycombe Invitational, but the pieces came together as the men entered championship season. With a third place finish at ACCs and a victory at Regionals, the team will look to finish the season with its best race yet. Individually, the athletes will aim to finish in the top 40 in order to receive All-American honors.

Women's NCAA Team: Bianca Bishop, Ryen Frazier, Wesley Frazier, Elly Henes, Erika Kemp, Megan Moye, Rachel Koon, Alyssa Rudawsky, Beth Taye and Kaitlyn Kramer
