Quotes from the Wolfpack
Head Coach Wes Moore's opening statement: "Tonight was a good opportunity to get a lot of people in there, especially our freshmen. I saw a lot of good things as well as things we need to work on. We need to play better defense, foul less, and play up-tempo. We had too many turnovers in the second half. We'll look at the film tonight and get some good learning opportunities from it. It was a good way to open Reynolds Coliseum with a win."
Kaila Ealey on returning from injury: "I think I finally felt 100 percent when I took off my brace (during preseason practice). I haven't been playing with it for a while and I think once I took it off it was just go time. There's no time to overthink at this level: it's now or never. I think that's what motivated me is that I wanted to play without it and give it my all."
Chelsea Nelson on the win: "I think we're just hungry because of what happened last year and how we thought we were in the NCAA Tournament, so this year, no matter who we're playing, we have to go hard and be really aggressive. We have four seniors and they really want to make it to the tournament."
