NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The NC State volleyball team struggled to get into an offensive rhythm Sunday afternoon inside Purcell Pavilion against one of the top teams in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish won the match in straight sets, 3-0 (25-19, 25-17, 25-23).
The Irish suffered their first lost in ACC play Friday night and bounced back against the Wolfpack to run their record to 16-4 and 7-1 in conference action. NC State moves to 11-9 and 4-4 in league play.

Overall thoughts on the match…
"I thought Notre Dame came out serving tough, aggressive and immediately forced us to have to make some adjustments," said head coach Linda Hampton-Keith. "I thought we responded well to our adjustments and it then became a matter of which team was willing to stay defensively engaged a little longer through each rally.
"We're disappointed in the outcome and hopefully learned some lessons about our process moving forward."
