Live Stats
Nicole Chavis and Joshua Davis will open the season in the weight throw, while Grant Rivers will compete in the heptathlon.
Chavis is coming off of an All-America performance in the weight throw during the 2014-15 indoor season, as well as an NCAA East Preliminary bid in the discus during the 2015 outdoor season.
Chavis holds the school record in the weight throw, and will look to pick up where she left off last year after earning her second-straight All-America honor. Last season, the Lumberton, N.C., native won the weight throw in seven of 10 competitions.
At last year's ACC Championships, she reset the school record and broke the 70' mark for the first time, with a throw of 70'3.75".
On the men's side, Davis will look to build on his successful 2015 outdoor season. In his first year of competition, Davis excelled in the hammer throw, improving 23 feet from the beginning of the outdoor season.
He almost broke the 200' foot mark near the end of the season, and finished with a season-high throw of 198'3.00". During indoor season, Davis earned his PR of 63'0.75" in the weight throw at the SPIRE Invitational.
Grant Rivers will also look to continue his development, as he competes in his first heptathlon of the season. Last year, Rivers reached 4,873 points in the heptathlon, which bested his previous season-high by 173 points.
BU Opener

Three of the Pack's top distance runners will head to Boston to compete in the BU Opener Saturday. All three will run in the 5,000m, which are slated to begin at 4:20 p.m.
Erika Kemp, Rachel Koon and Bakri Abushouk will look to use their cross country fitness to earn early national qualifying marks for indoor track season.
Kemp aims to jump-start her junior track season after a successful cross country campaign. She scored in every meet she competed in and was the team's top runner at the NCAA Championships.
On the track, Kemp holds a 5,000m indoor personal best of 16:17.06, which she earned with a third-place finish at the ACC Indoor Championships.
Koon redshirted the 2014-15 track seasons and has made big strides her development, scoring in every cross country meet for the Pack this season.
Abushouk will be the lone men's competitor for the Pack in Boston. After a breakout cross country season, Abushouk will aim to improve his track PRs and set a national mark at the early-season race.
